What is CrespoGuard?
CrespoGuard focuses on two products: the free CrespoGuard Launcher and the CrespoGuard RF Dev Tool. The Launcher adds integrity checks and telemetry to older Windows game clients. The RF Dev Tool is an Excel-based editor for RF server data.
How do I get the Launcher?
Create a free account, open the Downloads page, and download the Launcher. There is no purchase or activation code required for the Launcher.
What does the RF Dev Tool do?
It lets your team edit Drop tables, Monster Spots, SafeZones, Ore Cutting, and Portal Editor data from Excel, with batch processing and validation.
Billing & Subscriptions
How does RF Dev Tool billing work?
The RF Dev Tool is billed monthly, quarterly, semiannually, or yearly through Stripe or PayPal. You can view and manage your subscription from the account page.
Is there a free trial?
Yes. Verified accounts can claim a one-time 1-day trial key from the store or downloads page. Email verification is required, and the trial is limited to one per account.
What happens when my subscription lapses?
Existing activation codes remain valid until their expiry date. New codes are issued when the subscription renews.
Activation Codes
How do I activate the RF Dev Tool?
After subscribing, copy the activation code from your account and run: CrespoGuardRFDevTool.exe --activate XXXX-XXXX-XXXX-XXXX. Replace the placeholder with your actual code.
How many activation codes do I get?
The RF Dev Tool issues one activation code per billing period. Each code is single-use and binds the license to the machine's hardware ID.
My code shows as 'used' but activation failed. What now?
Contact support on Discord. An admin can investigate the activation and issue a replacement code if needed.
Technical
What platforms are supported?
The Launcher targets older Windows game clients. The RF Dev Tool runs on Windows and works with Excel files. No Linux or macOS build is offered.
Does CrespoGuard phone home?
License validation and activation call the CrespoGuard API, so an internet connection is required for activation and updates.
Where can I find the CLI documentation?
